About
The Full Story
I was born and raised in El Paso and moved to Austin in 2015 to attend the University of Texas at Austin where I received a Bachelor degree in Journalism and a certificate in creative writing. Moody College of Communication has taught me new innovative ways to engage audiences in news and refined my writing and technology skills.
I worked at Austin Monthly as an intern completing fact-checks and writing for the digital platform. With every article I wrote and checked, I fell more in love with the capital city.
Along with the magazine, I wrote for the MBA Insider blog for the McCombs Graduate School of Business. I have also published work with The Daily Texan and Orange Magazine.
During my time at UT, I hosted a podcast show called Austin Unknown that featured Austinites with unconventional hobbies, jobs, and interests and is posted on Spotify.
I have a passion for words and sharing the lives of people I meet. I enjoy using technology for spreading awareness and informing the public on news in an unbiased, honest manner.
I work to put trust back in the media.
